Recently while walking in downtown Atlanta I glanced in a window of a modern art gallery and saw a large painting of many different Disney characters having at it in a similarly repulsive  fashion. I begrudgingly have to admit it was art. Intentionally bad art, yes.

But that image, that’s not nearly avant garde enough to even be considered bad art. That’s just bad pornography.

I switched to uBlock Origin when it was rumored that ABP was selling whitelist entries.  In my case, once I selected block element, I just needed to move the mouse around until it highlighted the correct element, then clicked create.

In the puritan world we live in, yes it’s kind of annoying that those images appear because it would be embarrassing if someone saw that on my screen. At work or in a library, etc. So yeah it should be tagged as NSFW at best or not promoted at worst.

But being locked at home, I’m not really worried about what appears on the sideline. I must say I didn’t even notice it.

Posting on Kinja is difficult though. You have to make sure the post is filed to Oppo and not your personal blog and you must fully credit images in posts using the (c) icon before you can publish.

If you ever read their policy, they "embrace NSFW content" but kindly ask you don't use the platform for a porn site. But I've never really thought of the Kinjaverse as the kind of place where you shouldn't be surprised to see nudity. And that went above and beyond "just nudity."

Good catch. Though I hardly see how that would lead people to click on an article from The Onion from 8 years ago that doesn’t feature the words Charlie Hedbo or any th ing. Still, it must be that reason.

I’m shocked it took 5 years to make its way through the judicial system though. I assume many hearing must have gone before but that’s a long time.
